Charlie was a meat cutter in a local market in 1967, when he was asked to make up a recipe for the owner of the store. It was a cheese dip that the owner wanted to try and sell to his customers. Charlie finished the dip, he and the owner tasted it, and both agreed it could be better. However, Charlie did think that this cheese dip idea had some possibilities. He started looking at different ingredients that may improve the product. Charlie thought of what makes a steak taste great, and it wasn't steak sauce.

Charlie always felt that a steak seasoned just right should never have steak sauce put on it. It was this seasoning idea that lead to a special blend of beer, garlic, and a few other secret spices that have come to make Charlie�s Beer Cheese what it is today. Over the years, Charlie has produced the Beer Cheese for his friends, family, and even a food chain in Kentucky for a length of time. But when he retired, he limited it to just family, and holiday gatherings, until he passed on the secret recipe to the next generation. We are proud to bring you Charlie's Beer Cheese, and hope that you and your family will enjoy it at your next gathering, holiday party or time with friends. We still make it just like Charlie did one batch at a time, with only the best ingredients. We have the best quality control to make sure it still meets Charlie's standards, it's Charlie, and we don't cup it up until Charlie says "Smooth n Spicy...That's Right"
